An Honest Review Of All Member Jungle’s Packages

So, you are considering signing up with Member Jungle but are unsure which of our four packages is right for your club or association? Well, that’s totally normal. It’s a lot to decide, and even though you are able to change the package you’ve signed up for at any time, it’s still a decision that it’s best to get right the first time. 

So, with that in mind, let’s review all of the different Member Jungle packages so you can know for certain which is the best choice for your club or association. 

Also, let’s just quickly address the elephant in the room. I work for Member Jungle, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to lie to you and try to push you towards signing up for the most expensive package. This will be an honest breakdown of the four Member Jungle packages and their pros and cons to help you make an educated decision on which is best for you. 

What Are The Packages Available At Member Jungle?

Member Jungle offers four different packages. These differ in price, features, number of included members, and monthly limits for marketing emails. 

The four packages available at Member Jungle are Essentials, Standard, Premium and Ultimate. The price of these packages is as follows: 

• Essentials - $109 a month 
• Standard - $199 a month 
• Premium - $369 a month 
• Ultimate - $799 a month 

Please note that all these prices are in AUD and are correct as of 2024; there are occasional price changes, so depending on when you’re reading this, it may be worth double-checking the Member Jungle Pricing Page for the current price. 

Also, note that these are just the monthly subscription fees; each package also comes with a one-off onboarding fee to get your new system set up and customised to your needs. I will talk more about this later in the article. 

Finally, please be aware that since writing that the Premium price is $369, I have had Get Low by Lil Jon and The East Side Boyz stuck in my head. So, just be aware that Lil Jon will be shouting inside my head while I write the rest of this article. 

 

   

 

It goes without saying that the more expensive the package is, the more features it has, the higher the limits are, and the lower the extra fees (like transaction fees) are. You can see a quick breakdown of these differences in the below image.

Now that we’ve briefly covered an overview of the different Member Jungle packages, let me review the individual packages, their strengths and weaknesses and who they are the best fit for. 

Member Jungle Essentials Package Review

The Member Jungle Essentials package is the cheapest package available at Member Jungle. It is designed for small clubs or organisations that need some sort of basic digital membership system but can’t afford anything too wild. It has all the basics you need to help run a small club more efficiently.  

Essentials Package Features

The Essentials Package includes a whole host of really helpful entry-level features to help you run your club better, including: 

• A membership management system 
• An automated membership renewal system
• Integrated mobile app 
• Digital membership cards
• Customisable website 
• Up to three different membership levels
• Event management system
• Standard support
• Up to three membership levels

Essentials Package Pricing

The Essentials Package is available for $109 a month plus a one-off onboarding fee of $199. There is also a service fee of 1.2% plus 69c per online transaction made via your Member Jungle site. This does not include Stripe payment gateway fees. This transaction fee can be passed onto customers or absorbed into your club's profits, depending on which makes the most sense for your club.  

The Essentials Package also has 250 included members, which means you don't need to pay anything extra for the first 250 members, and if you go over that limit, you need to either upgrade packages or pay an extra $30 a month for 100 extra members. There is no limit to how many times you can pay to add an extra 100 members to your package, but at a certain point, it will just become more cost-effective to upgrade packages.    

Who Is The Essential Package For?  

The Essential Package is the perfect starting point for small clubs ready to take their first step into the world of digital membership management. It's designed with budget-conscious organisations in mind, providing robust features without breaking the bank. This makes it ideal for clubs just starting out, ones with smaller member numbers or those with limited financial resources. 

If you're mainly interested in streamlining important processes like member registration, renewals, and communication, the Essential Package offers all the tools you need to do so efficiently. If you're new to membership management systems and want to explore their benefits without a significant financial commitment, the Essential Package is an excellent way to get started and see how it can improve your operations and enhance your members' experience.

For associations or slightly larger clubs who want more advanced features like email campaigns and online stores, it will probably be too limiting. 

Member Jungle Standard Package Review

The Member Jungle Standard package is the next package up from Essentials. It comes with a lot of added features that make it much more suitable for medium-sized clubs and potentially some smaller associations.  

Standard Package Features

The Standard Package has all the features that the Essential Package has, plus a lot more. These added features include: 

• An online store 
• Banner ads 
• Event Scheduled emails 
• Custom forms
• A business directory 
• Email marketing - 2,500 emails a month
• Optional SMS marketing
• Up to five membership levels

Again, this is not a full list of all the additional features at Standard; these are just some of the highlights; the full list can be found on the Pricing Page.  

Standard Package Pricing

The Standard Package is available for $199 a month plus a one-off onboarding fee of $299. Again, there is also a service fee per online transaction made via the Member Jungle site (not including Stripe payment gateway fees), but the more expensive the package is, the less this transaction fee is. On the Standard Package, the transaction fee is 0.9% plus 69c per online transaction. Again, you can add this fee to your prices, or you can absorb it into your profits, whichever works for you.  

The Standard Package also has 750 included members, which means you don’t need to pay anything extra for the first 750 members, and if you go over that limit, you can either upgrade packages or pay an extra $22 a month for 100 extra members. 

Who Is The Standard Package For?  

The Standard Package offers a significant step up in functionality compared to the Essentials package, with the addition of valuable features like the online store and business directory. These tools provide exciting opportunities to generate revenue for your club, going beyond basic membership management.

With the online store, you can easily sell merchandise, event tickets, and other products directly to your members, creating a convenient and profitable sales channel. The business directory allows you to showcase local businesses or service providers, fostering a sense of community and potentially generating revenue through advertising or partnerships.

The Standard Package is ideal for clubs experiencing growth or those seeking more advanced features to enhance their operations and member engagement. Now, while the Standard Package may be well suited to small to medium-sized clubs and potentially some quite small associations, it will likely be a bit limiting for medium to large clubs and the average association. 

Member Jungle Premium Package Review

The Member Jungle Premium Package is designed for larger clubs and smaller associations and has a lot of added features to help those with larger and more complicated membership structures. 

Premium Package Features

As expected, the Premium Package has all the features of the Essential and Standard packages plus a lot more added features to make running large clubs and associations easier. These added features include: 

• Video uploads
• Comparison reports 
• Job Vacancies board
• 3rd party integrations
• An account manager 
• Email marketing - 15,000 emails a month
• SMS marketing as standard - 500 initial messages  
• Private training
• Priority support 
• 1 GB of video storage
• Up to 25 membership levels

The Premium Package has a lot of more advanced features that associations and larger clubs need, including several features as standard that are paid optional extras in the Standard package. 

Premium Package Pricing

The Premium Package is available for $369 a month plus a one-off onboarding fee of $399. The service fee is lower again at just 0.7% plus 69c per transaction (not including Stripe payment gateway fees).  

The Premium Package has 5,000 included members; if you go over that limit, you can either upgrade packages or pay an extra $10 a month for 100 extra members. 

Who Is The Premium Package For?  

The Premium Package offers a significant upgrade for clubs and associations seeking greater control and flexibility in their membership management. One of its main advantages is the removal of Member Jungle branding from emails, allowing for a more professional and personalised communication experience.

Additionally, the Premium Package provides more granular control over access levels, enabling you to tailor permissions for different user roles within your organisation. This is particularly beneficial for larger clubs and associations or those with multiple regional subgroups, where varying levels of access are required.

With an increased capacity of 5,000 members and a wider range of advanced features, the Premium Package is well-suited for organisations experiencing growth or those seeking more sophisticated tools to manage their membership and operations. However, it's important to consider your club's specific needs and budget, as smaller clubs might find the price point and advanced features less justifiable compared to the Standard Package.

Member Jungle Ultimate Package Review

The Ultimate package is truly the big poppa of the Member Jungle packages. It has been designed with the needs of associations and very large clubs in mind, with a huge amount of membership levels and pretty much any feature you can think of. There are no optional extras either; all features are included as standard.  

Ultimate Package Features

The Ultimate package, of course, includes all the features of the other three packages but with all the limits increased and several features that are optional extras on cheaper packages as standard features instead. Some of the new features or expanded limits include:

• Email marketing - 45,000 emails a month
• SMS marketing as standard - 1000 initial messages  
• 3 GB of video storage
• Up to 50 membership levels

Plus, all of the following features that are paid optional extras on other packages are included as standard in Ultimate: 

• Custom Membership Cards  
• Membership Certificates  
• Event Certificates  
• Custom Datasets & Reporting  
• CPD/CME Logs  
• Online Course Module 

Ultimate Package Pricing 

The Ultimate Package is available for $799 a month plus a one-off onboarding fee of $599. The service fee is just 0.5% plus 50c per transaction (not including Stripe payment gateway fees).  

The Premium Package has 15,000 included members; if you go over that limit, you can pay an extra $7 a month for 100 extra members. 

When comparing the Ultimate Package to the Premium Package, the cost difference becomes significantly more justifiable when you consider the value of all the included features that are optional add-ons in other packages. 

For example, Custom Membership Cards as an optional add-on cost $599, Membership Certificates are $1,299 upfront plus an extra $19 a month, and the CPD Module and Event Certification cost $2,999 upfront and an extra $69 a month. As you can see, these costs can quickly add up if purchased separately. However, these features are included as standard in the Ultimate Package, making it a far more cost-effective option for clubs and associations that require these advanced functionalities.

Who Is The Ultimate Package For?

The Ultimate Package has been crafted for large-scale associations and clubs with complex needs.  It's packed with advanced features and boasts incredibly high limits, making it the perfect solution for managing thousands of members, intricate membership structures, and specialised requirements like online courses, CPD tracking, and event certificates.

While the Ultimate Package might be more than smaller clubs require, it's an indispensable tool for large associations and clubs seeking a comprehensive and scalable solution to manage their complex operations and foster a thriving community.

The Member Jungle Packages Summary

Okay so I hope that was a nice deep dive into the four different packages, their pros and cons and I hope that it will give you a little bit of guidance of which package is likely the best choice for you. 

I know that was long, so let’s quickly go over the ideal clubs and associations for each package. 

• The Essential Package - For small clubs with limited resources who need an entry-level management system. 
   
• The Standard Package - For small to medium-sized clubs and small associations that need a well-rounded management system but still have to keep an eye on their budget. 
   
• The Premium Package - For medium to large clubs and smaller associations that need a lot of advanced features to support and grow their organisations.
   
• The Ultimate Package - For large clubs and associations who need all the bells and whistles to maximise their organisation's potential.
