How can I communicate with my members from Member Jungle?
There are a number of different ways to communicate with your members using the Member Jungle membership system. Here’s the most common ways:
- Email members directly from the membership system.
- Email members directly from the Events module.
- Marketing email via the Email Campaign module.
- Push notifications sent to the app.
- Allow members to chat with each other in the Chatroom module.
Email members directly from the membership system
Of the several ways above, this is the most common way to communicate with your members. From the Membership admin area, simply filter the list of members or search for a specific member and then click the EMAIL MEMBERS button. You will then be able to craft your email message and insert any dynamic shortcodes you require which will be automatically populated with each member’s data upon sending.
You also have the option to use the “Templates” button to insert a template for “How to download the app” or “Welcome Email Template” for sending to your members for the first time. This will give your members their username and details how they can login and take advantage of the system.
Email members directly from the Events module
If your club runs organised events where your members are required to register or purchase tickets, you can then email those registered members directly via the Events module.
You can also insert any dynamic shortcodes which will automatically populate with the member’s details.
Marketing email via the Email Campaign module
The Email Campaign module provides the ability to craft pretty, HTML formatted emails suitable for marketing campaigns or newsletters where you would like to use a little more graphical flair than a simple email blast to members. For email campaigns linked to membership, you can also insert any dynamic shortcodes which will automatically populate with the member’s details.
Member Jungle provides basic templates for the Email Campaign module, however, you’re welcome to design your own templates to suit your needs. You can send emails via the Email Campaign module to your member base, event attendees or to general subscriber lists as well.
Push notifications sent to the app
A great way to communicate with your members is via push notifications as members will be sent and receive these notifications in real time. Many modules within Member Jungle have the ability to send notifications to the app, like:
- Events: notify all members about a new event.
- Blog: notify all members about a new blog article.
- News: notify all members about a new news article.
- Library: notify all members a new newsletter or document has been added.
Members can then tap on the notification on their phone to be taken straight to the event, blog or news article details to see what it’s all about.
Allow members to chat with each other in the Chatroom module
The Chatroom module is a great way to allow communication between specific groups of members like a group event, a committee chat group or any number of chat groups you create. Chat rooms are available on both the app and the website.
For reasons of safety, members in a chat room have the ability to report abuse and leave the group if they desire.
The best way to communicate with your members will differ among organisations and also depend on what you are communicating. Regular communication will help keep your members engaged with your organisation as well as up to date with what’s going on. The best option for most membership organisations is to use a range of the different methods.
