Member Jungle 2023 In Numbers - A Year In Review
2023 is rapidly coming to a close, and this year has flown by; as they say, the days go slow, but the years go fast. So, I hope everyone has enjoyed all their days this year and is looking forward to 2024.
We thought we would take this opportunity to recap how 2023 went for us and all the clubs and associations we work with by looking into the numbers and stats of the past 12 months. So, we had our resident tech genius and head of development, Beau Gibson, crunch the numbers for us, and here they are.
Club Overview 2023
In 2023, 123 new clubs and associations signed on with Member Jungle and started managing their members more easily and with less stress. Hopefully, they were able to start putting their newly discovered time into reinvesting and improving their clubs and, most importantly, enjoying their clubs. After all, it’s all about enjoying the clubs and hobbies you love so much.
Across all the clubs and associations using the Member Jungle system this year, there were a total of 141,454 members using the system. That means more members use Member Jungle than people living in Darwin. Now, I’m not suggesting that the Member Jungle tribe invades Darwin; I’m just saying that if we did, we’d have the edge number-wise.
Throughout 2023, nearly 50,000 members renewed their memberships through the Member Jungle system. Throughout these renewals over $6.7 million was transferred securely through the Member Jungle system from members to clubs.
That’s enough money to buy 279 brand-new Hyundai i30s, 6,700 staffy puppies or one Chiron Super Sport 300+. Now, if I had the choice between owning a 141,454th of one of the fastest production cars in history and a literal army of adorable hounds. I’m choosing the pups every day of the week.
What Clubs Did Through Member Jungle During 2023
It’s been a busy year for us and the clubs and associations using Member Jungle in 2023. So, let’s have a quick look at what everyone got up to over the past twelve months.
Over 10,000 events were held via the Member Jungle system during 2023, with over $3.2 million going to clubs from those events.
On average, clubs ran 35 events each throughout 2023, which works out at nearly three a month, with the average club making $10,000 from events during the year.
Did your club run that many events, or did they run even more? My kayaking club ran only two events during the year, so I am incredibly jealous of everyone who got 35 events in.
A lot of people attend those events, too, with well over 100,000 members registering to attend events on Member Jungle throughout the year.
It wasn’t just events that were popular in 2023; clubs made a total of $128,313 via running courses on Member Jungle.
Communication Via Member Jungle In 2023
2023 has been a year of communication for the clubs and associations using Member Jungle. This year, Member Jungle has implemented several new features to make communicating with your members easier than ever before, and it shows.
Nearly 3.5 million emails were sent via Member Jungle in 2023 to more than 280,000 unique email addresses. That is a 23% increase in the amount of emails sent compared to 2022.
Emails weren’t the only way you were speaking to your members this year. There were more than 83,000 chat messages sent across Member Jungle chat rooms and almost 20,000 SMS messages sent out to members.
Your clubs’ websites also got a lot of interaction over the past 12 months, with clubs’ publicly accessible pages viewed more than 15.4 million times.
Between March of 2022 and March of 2023, 11.6 million Australians visited a cinema to watch a film. That means clubs with Member Jungle have had their websites viewed 3.8 million times more than people who watched movies at the cinema in 12 months.
It wasn’t just the publicly viewed pages that got a lot of eyes on them in 2023. The administration pages of your clubs’ websites were viewed 2.7 million times over the year.
