What are Member Jungle Gateway Fees
What are Member Jungle Gateway fees?
Member Jungle offers all Australian customers the opportunity to process online payments for membership, events, online store and online courses using the Member Jungle Payment Gateway. Our payment gateway is powered by the Stripe Connect gateway and is completely PCI compliant, which means that no credit card information is ever stored on your own site and all payment data is secure.
All online payments within Australia (using domestic cards) are charged different gateway fees depending on which package is chosen (please see https://www.memberjungle.com.au/pricing for more details). There are no charges for any manual payments processed via your Member Jungle system.
The Member Jungle Gateway features;
- Easy and free setup
- No monthly fees
- Ability to pass on all transaction fees onto the member or purchaser
- Automated subscription payments
- Members can save credit cards for future transactions (all encrypted and PCI compliant)
- All transactions are completed within your website, making it easier for users to complete payment.
- All money is deposited into your account on a weekly basis
- Full reconciliation reports available for all transactions
Why do we charge gateway fees
Member Jungle has worked to keep our system as affordable as possible for all organisations so we charge a monthly fee and a gateway fee on top of all online transactions. The gateway fee is like a transaction fee from Paypal, which has a fixed cost and a variable i.e. 99 cents and 2.3% and includes the costs of the online transaction and also disbursements to your primary bank account. Using the Member Jungle Gateway means that organisations can pass on these fees to their members and share the costs across their member base. So the same as when someone purchases a ticket online through Ticketek, Ticketmaster or even makes an online donation, they are charged a fee on top of the purchase value.
You also have the option to absorb these Fees if you prefer or just incorporate them into your pricing.
This pricing model allows us to offer Member Jungle to you and your members loads of functionality, continual product development and minimal setup costs. Plus it means that you only pay Gateway Fees when you are selling (via membership, events, courses or the store) - so we are only making money when you are.
